Maple Mustard Salad Dressing

Maple Mustard Salad Dressing
This salad dressing is delicious and smooth with just the right amount of heat from stone ground mustard. Perfect for tossed green salads, or drizzled over sliced garden tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese with a bright green flourish of chiffonaded basil leaves.

Makes 1 scant cup of dressing.

Measure all ingredients directly into a pint jar with a tight-fitting lid.

6 Tablespoons of good quality extra virgin olive oil (you have to like the taste of it all on its own)
5 Tablespoons of balsamic vinegar (also it's good if you like the taste of this on its own)
1 Tablespoon maple syrup
1 Tablespoon stone ground mustard (I like Maille brand)
1/2 tsp salt
Pepper to taste

Fit lid onto jar tightly, and shake until dressing is well emulsified and smooth.
